TAF Tax Process - How We Work

Having your taxes prepared with The Accounting Factor is a simple process:

First Step - Collect all your tax documents (check out the “What To Bring To Your Tax Appointment” section for a list of common tax forms), and when you have your data, schedule an appointment. Keep in mind, this appointment is to wrap up your tax return.

Second Step - At least one week before your appointment, we will send you a link to upload your tax data to our Secure Portal. This will house your tax data and allow us to get going on the data entry of your tax return. During this process, we may call you for clarifying information or anything we see missing from prior year tax returns. We’ve also noticed that at this point, we may possibly be able to wrap up your tax return earlier than your scheduled appointment!

Third Step - During your wrap up call, an Accountant will call you to wrap up your taxes and go over missing opportunities and tax strategies. We’ll be able to answer any tax questions you have and would like to discuss. At this call, we will also send e-signatures, your electronic copy of your tax return, and information regarding any next steps needed to take.

That’s it, and you’re all done!
