History
The Accounting Factor (TAF), started in 2007 as a Franchisee of EXPRESSTAX. During this time, EXPRESSTAX focused on Income Tax Preparation and built their customer base on Customer Service and quick turnaround time on tax preparation. As EXPRESSTAX grew, so did the demand in other Accounting Services. This demand resulted in The Accounting Factor being born in 2012.
Peng Lim, founder of The Accounting Factor, closed down EXPRESSTAX and started TAF. With the transition, TAF is now able to offer tax planning, tax resolution, entity creation, and payroll.
Originally, TAF was set-up as an in-office style model; however, with the change of the times, TAF is now able to conduct all appointments virtually over the phone, online, or in-person.

How We Work
We try to make tax preparation as simple as possible for you.
Step 1: Gather up your tax documents (please see the tax document guide for a list of possible tax documents), and determine if you need to meet with a Tax Preparer, Senior Tax Preparer, or an EA/CPA.
Step 2: Book your appointment with either a Tax Preparer, Senior Tax Preparer, or an EA/CPA. Upload your tax documents to TAF as soon as possible so we can start working on the data entry prior to your appointment.
Step 3: During your appointment, your Tax Preparer, Senior Tax Preparer, or EA/CPA will meet with you either virtually or in-person to go over your taxes.
Step 4: After your taxes are completed - sign and we’ll submit.
Rates
Our rates are simple and not hidden. We are proud that we can offer lower fees compared to our competitors.
Personal Tax Preparation by Tax Preparers start at $145 and have additional fees for Schedules A, C, D, E, and F. These schedules are $10, each.
Personal Tax Preparation by Senior Tax Preparers start at $175 and have additional fees for Schedules A, C, D, E, and F. These schedules are $10, each.
Personal Tax Preparation by EA/CPAs start at $195 and have additional fees for Schedules A, C, D, E, and F. These schedules are $10, each.
Business Tax Preparation by Tax Preparers start at $215 and have additional fees for form 8825. These forms are $10, per property.
Business Tax Preparation by Senior Tax Preparers start at $225 and have additional fees for form 8825. These forms are $10, per property.
Business Tax Preparation by EA/CPAs start at $240 and have additional fees for form 8825. These forms are $10, per property.
